CELEBRATING COLLEGE DECISIONS

I’M IN, a celebration showcasing our seniors’ Building STEPS experience and their college choices, was extraordinary. 93% of this graduating cohort will attend college in the fall, many on full scholarship! Following a morning of professional development and college prep programming, the juniors and seniors came together for a festive luncheon, emceed by Building STEPS alumni and covered by WMAR-TV. Special thanks to IKEA for gifting every senior with the iconic blue bag filled with dorm room essentials! 

PARTNERSHIPS FOSTERING NEW CAREER GOALS

DP Solutions welcomed high school juniors for a day of cybersecurity and IT exploration along with interactive role playing in customer relations and communications. DP Solutions empowers students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the field of IT/Cybersecurity. Thank you for your continued support of our bright, Baltimore City students. 

WELCOME 25TH COHORT

2025 marks a special milestone for Building STEPS. Celebrating 25 years of propelling students to college and career success, we welcomed our 25th cohort for Orientation. The day included fun icebreakers, team building activities and an introduction to the multi-year program experience and expectations. Orientation is the first step to connecting students from 14 Baltimore City public high schools fostering a cohesive cohort as they begin their journey of STEM-focused career exposure and college access preparation.
