Become a Building STEPS student!

Program applications are now closed for the 2024-2025 school year.

Mission: Equip our city's brightest students with tools to propel them to college and career success.  

Building STEPS students can expect: 

• Monthly STEM exposure 
• Guaranteed 5-week paid summer internship
• Monthly college preparatory workshops 
• Ongoing college and career guidance 

Building STEPS students meet the following criteria: 

• Have at least a 3.0 or B- average
• Have a strong record of school attendance
• Currently in the 10th grade
• Currently enrolled at one of the following Baltimore City Public Schools:
  • ACCE
  • Augusta Fells
  • Benjamin Franklin
  • Carver Vocational Technical
  • Digital Harbor
  • Edmondson Westside
  • Forest Park
  • Frederick Douglass
  • Mergenthaler Vocational Technical
  • Patterson
  • Paul Laurence Dunbar
    
  • Reginald F. Lewis
  • Renaissance Academy
  • Vivien T. Thomas Medical Arts Academy
